Accounting MajorThe accounting major prepares students for career opportunities in public accounting, corporate finance, manufacturing, government service, health care, and not-for-profit organizations. Students are also encouraged to design their Luther College curriculum to support future graduate studies. This site will act as a guide to introducing you to the accounting major at Luther College, or if you are a current student, it will deepen your insight of the field.
The Economics and Business Department Mission StatementThe Economics & Business Department creates quality learning environments to prepare students for ethical leadership, decision-making, and service in organizations operating within a global environment. Our faculty is dedicated to preparing students to accept and adapt to the challenges and changes of the 21st century. We offer majors in economics, accounting, management, and management information systems. Minors in economics, management and management information systems, as well as interdisciplinary programs, all within a liberal arts curriculum promoting life-long learning and social responsibility. We provide personal attention to our students and academic advisees,
and support their educational and career planning. We value an experienced
faculty which is collegial and professional in its relationships with
students, colleagues, alumni, and friends of the College.
